Thompson is out for next game and as of now so is Laine, Vesalainen draws in and Harkins is centering the 4th line, as for how the lines will go Maurice didn't say that but I assume if Laine can't go Copp will stay with Stastny and Ehlers, Perreault will be with Lowry and Appleton and Vesalainen will be the 4th line LW with Harkins at center and Lewis on RW.

DeMelo is playing on Saturday, decision will be made tomorrow as to who is coming out between Heinola and Stanley as per the coach.

I'm not sure a disgruntled PLD will be so happy getting dealt to the Peg and may just perform here as he is in Columbus where he ended up getting benched for the final two periods. He acting somewhat like a spoiled brat who only wants to play for a Quebec team aka MTL. Torts hurt his trade value by benching him. Dubios is now done in Columbus.

Regarding the other spoiled brat, Jack Roslovic. I would love to see him put his tail between his legs and resign his RFA contract for a year or two. He is a good player and would definitely add some scoring punch to that third line as well as be a great fill-in for the second line. By holding out, Roslovic is quickly losing the role he would have had to Andrew Copp. Dumb agent ...dumb idea...and really bad timing to play this out during a budget-conscious NHL under covid.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Winnipeg is the worst destination for a player wanting a bigger stage and not wanting to play under a difficult to deal with coach

I agree. Coming from Canada, and knowing the fan support and excitement in Canada, I think PLD would be fine coming to Wpg, especially with his father with the Moose.

Also think he would be fine playing with a player's coach, Maurice.

Having Scheifele and PLD at C would set us up for years if things would work out the way I see it.

How we get it done is another story. Still think there might have to be another team brought into play so that we could get PLD AND a a RD for Laine (who has asked for a trade and reportedly wants more major $$$ than the team can give) and Roslovic.

Can see Sammy being part of package going to Columbus, should a deal be struck.

I would not trade Laine this year. I would have him play on PLD’s wing and score an insane amount of goals ands then trade him for a major package. The Jets would essentially be able to get whatever they want for him.

On a more serious note though. The package I proposed up top to get PLD is similar to what the Jets got for Evander Kane, when he walked away from the team.

I think increasing Laine’s value to get a team to overpay in the offseason is a good strategy and trust me I have been very critical about Chevy’s asset management. This is the best course of action for the Jets as it might give them the best chance they have ever had to win the cup!
